Bottom Line Up Front:
-The latest models have trended with storms entering our area a little earlier than previously thought
-Storms will end from West to East by the wee hours Wednesday morning/toward daybreak in Northeast AL
No Hazardous Weather Expected
Important Forecast Changes
Storms may enter NW Alabama as early as 4-6 PM CST, with the risk spreading Eastward during the evening.
Timing:
-Storms will enter NW Alabama this evening, and will affect locations along I-65 by 6 PM.
-Storms will continue moving into NE Alabama into the wee hours of Wednesday morning.-Storms will end from West to East as the cold front pushes across the area by daybreak.
Important Forecast Changes
Storms may enter NW Alabama as early as 4-6 PM CST, with the risk spreading Eastward during the evening.
-Current storms on radar will pose a higher risk for hail, moving into NW Alabama earlier this afternoon.
-Supercells will develop later this afternoon/evening behind this initial round, posing a higher tornado risk as they move into the area.
-Models are coming into better agreement that storms may hold together and cross into AL this evening/tonight, so a higher potential for severe storms now exists West of Interstate 65, as alluded to in the latest SPC Outlook (extending potential Eastward)
