Congressman Robert B. Aderholt announced that his bill, H.R. 5464, has been signed into law by the President. The legislation names the Guntersville Veterans Affairs Clinic after Medal of Honor Recipient Ola Lee Mize.

Representative Aderholt expressed his satisfaction with the passage of the bill: “I am proud that we were able to get my legislation, HR 5464, passed through both chambers and to the President’s desk where it was signed. Colonel Ola Lee Mize is an American hero and deserves the recognition he will now be given.”

He also acknowledged Senators Tuberville and Britt for their support in advancing the bill in the Senate: “I want to thank Senators Tuberville and Britt for carrying this bill in the Senate, and I know every member of the Alabama delegation looks forward to seeing this legislation signed into law.”

The new law honors Colonel Ola Lee Mize's contributions by dedicating a clinic in his name.
