Congressman Robert B. Aderholt has announced that Moulton, Alabama, will receive $219,000 in federal funding to tackle a persistent flooding issue. The funding aims to alleviate problems caused by congested creeks in the area.
Aderholt expressed his commitment to resolving the situation: "The people of Moulton have dealt with flooding caused by congested creeks for far too long. I am proud to announce that federal funding has been secured to begin the process of addressing this issue."
He also highlighted the role of the US Army Corps of Engineers in this effort: "It is my hope that, with assistance from the US Army Corps of Engineers, the flooding issue will be resolved, and we will no longer see situations such as the one in September of this year where a citizen of Moulton had to be rescued due to this flooding."
Aderholt concluded by stating his satisfaction with contributing to securing these funds: "I was glad to play a role in helping to secure this funding."
