Congressman Robert Aderholt has announced his role as an original cosponsor of a new legislative effort to address the presence of unauthorized Chinese Communist Party (CCP) police outposts in the United States. This legislation, introduced by Representatives Ashley Hinson and Senator Tom Cotton, aims to expel these operatives who are reportedly intimidating dissidents and critics of the Chinese government on American soil.

Aderholt emphasized the importance of this bill for maintaining American sovereignty and protecting individuals who have escaped CCP oppression. "This legislation is critical to protecting American sovereignty and ensuring the safety of those who have fled the oppression of the Chinese Communist Party," he stated. He further described these outposts as a violation of U.S. laws and an attempt by China to extend its authoritarian influence internationally.

The proposed bill seeks to empower law enforcement with tools necessary for identifying, investigating, and removing these operatives acting outside official diplomatic channels. It also plans to impose penalties on those facilitating such covert operations.

Human rights organizations and intelligence agencies have confirmed reports about these unauthorized police stations in several countries, including the United States. Their main role appears to be monitoring and intimidating members of the Chinese diaspora who oppose the Chinese government.

Aderholt called for vigilance against foreign interference within U.S. communities: "The United States must remain vigilant against foreign interference in our communities," he said. He expressed pride in supporting this initiative alongside his colleagues and urged Congress for swift action to enforce laws and protect citizens.
