Congressman Robert B. Aderholt participated in the AUKUS Industry Forum held at the University of Alabama in Huntsville on October 28, 2024. The forum aimed to bring together defense and business community partners from the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

The event focused on discussing the trilateral partnership between these nations. It provided a platform for industry leaders to learn about advanced capabilities development by the Department of Defense, export control reforms by the State Department, and potential roles for industries in this collaboration.

Alongside Congressman Aderholt, Congressman Dale Strong and senior officials from various departments such as Defense and State were present. They contributed insights during breakout discussions.

Congressman Aderholt remarked, “This forum represented a unique opportunity for defense industry experts to see why North Alabama is a leader in the defense space. The defense industry is rapidly growing in Alabama, not just for those in Huntsville but for communities across North Alabama.”

Congressman Strong also emphasized North Alabama's role: "North Alabama takes tremendous pride in safeguarding our nation, and the AUKUS forum is a great opportunity to showcase our contributions to keeping our country and its allies secure."

Both congressmen highlighted how partnering with Australia and the UK enhances regional job opportunities and expertise development within their communities.
