College tuition fees rose 1.2% in Cullman County in the 2022-23 school year, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Data shows that students paid $4,996 on average to attend George C Wallace State Community College-Hanceville courses at the time, $61 more than the previous school year.

For comparison, Alabama universities charge students an annual average of $13,412 per year.

At the time, a total of $3.9 million in grants or scholarships were awarded to full-time undergraduates who enrolled in the university. Additionally, federal student loans reached $1.1 million.
