2021 has 4.8% of St. Clair County residents unemployed

St. Clair County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.8% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 2,028 people out of the 90,412 living in St. Clair County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in St. Clair County has decreased compared to the 5.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in St. Clair County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.4%.

Of the 40,115 people who had a job during that time, 146 were employed in the Armed Forces and 39,969 belonged to the civilian labor force.
