Hamilton 5th graders | Marion County Alabama 4-H

Hamilton 5th graders have been practicing their biomedical engineering skills by creating surgical tools that can safely be used in surgery on a variety of patient sizes. Youth had to think through the best way to get a packing peanut, marble, and cotton ball out of the patient’s body without disturbing vital organs (dominoes). Youth had to explain how their tool worked and then had to test their tool on three different patients. So proud of the creativity, teamwork, and success displayed by all these 4-Her’s! We may have some future surgeons, engineers or medical professionals in these groups
