Walker County Sheriff's Office: Tough as Nails Self-Defense Class

We had a great time Saturday at our Tough as Nails self-defense class!

Instructor Mike Cole, and assistants Brenda Goggans and Santina Bryant had a great time teaching women the basics of self-defense, and role playing different scenarios. We also appreciate Deputy Amy Garrison for helping!

Stay tuned for the dates of our next upcoming class!

"We had a very diverse group of ladies, ranging in age from 17 to 70. Everyone of them brought life experience to the class.  It was a highly motivated group and interacted in all phases of the class.

As you can see from the photos, several of them not only managed to get away but were very successful in bringing me to the floor. One or two demanded a second opportunity to whip me again!

My hope is that everyone left feeling better about how to not become a victim but also what to do if that should happen." -- Mike Cole
