Hamilton Schools' Fine Arts Program Represented at the 2022 Alabama Arts

Untitled

Hamilton Schools' Fine Arts Program was well-represented at the 2022 Alabama Arts Summit held at Ross Bridge in Birmingham, AL on April 28th and 29th. Miss Benja Jackson, Assistant Principal, at Hamilton Middle was a guest speaker at the conference of Arts educators. She spoke on how to effectively use grants to design impactful experiences for students as well as spent time answering questions and sharing her knowledge about  how to use a AAEI grant to start and maintain an arts program. Students from Hamilton Middle School's theatre program entertained the crowd with a few songs from their production of Annie Jr. The directors of this show were Ms. Cindy Howie and Mrs. Mary Beth Hall. The choreographer was Mrs. Alysse Beasley. Hamilton High School senior, Natalie Robertson, was also invited to sing and performed beautifully. Aggie Arts appreciated the opportunity to showcase their students' talents as well as the chance to perform at such a prestigious event. All the students and teachers involved did a great job! Thank you Alabama Arts Alliance and the Alabama State Department of Education for your support.
