Franklin County Drug Task Force We’re Investigating Drug Complaints

On April 19, 2022- Deputies assigned the Franklin County Drug Task Force we’re investigating drug complaints in the Spruce Pine community. Deputies went to 265 Old Winstead Road and upon pulling into the driveway, two males ran from a camper and into the woods.  When the deputies made it to the camper, they found one male and two females inside- Weasley Jones, Jessica Hepp, and Jacklyn Gilley. Deputies could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the camper and when the door was opened, numerous items of drug paraphernalia was in plain view. While collecting the paraphernalia, deputies also found methamphetamine, marijuana, numerous hypodermic needles, and guns.  Some of the guns were homemade and had the capability of firing shotgun ammo.  Jones, Gilley, and Hepp were arrested for Drug Trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of Marijuana 2nd. Additional arrests is expected for the two males that ran from the camper when the deputies arrived on the property.
