Chief Deputy Matt Coupland and Chief Investigator Wayne Layton have completed the Southeastern Leadership Command College at Jacksonville State University. The program, which lasts nine weeks, is designed to prepare law enforcement professionals for senior leadership roles.
Sheriff Billy J. Murray recognized their achievement, stating: “Congratulations to Chief Deputy Matt Coupland and Chief Investigator Wayne Layton who recently graduated from the Southeastern Leadership Command College at Jacksonville State University.” He also expressed appreciation for their dedication: “Thank you for your outstanding commitment to excellence and being hard-working role models for our office and the citizens of our county.”
The Southeastern Leadership Command College aims to equip experienced officers with skills needed for higher-level responsibilities within law enforcement agencies.
