The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office took part in the kindergarten Community Helper Day at Springville Elementary School on April 30. The event gave deputies a chance to interact with young students and explain their work in the community.
Community Helper Day aims to introduce children to local professionals and foster positive relationships between students and those who serve their community. By participating, the sheriff’s office helped students learn about law enforcement roles and responsibilities.
“Thank you to our friends at Springville Elementary School for inviting us to participate in the kindergarten class Community Helper Day! We enjoyed our time sharing what we do with our little ones and building strong relationships with our youth!” said representatives from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office.
Events like these are designed to build trust between law enforcement officers and young people, encouraging open communication from an early age.
The sheriff’s office said it looks forward to more opportunities where they can engage with local schools and support educational initiatives.
