Sheriff Billy J. Murray announced on May 21 that the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office has promoted three members of its staff.

The announcement highlights the department’s recognition of dedication and hard work among its personnel.

According to the statement, Lieutenant Matt Morris was promoted to Captain, Sergeant Lionel Callender was promoted to Lieutenant, and Brad Slade was promoted to Sergeant. The office said, “We sincerely appreciate your outstanding dedication and hard work in service to our great county and its citizens.” The statement continued, “Your commitment truly makes a difference every day.”

The announcement also offered congratulations individually: “Congratulations, Captain Morris,” “Congratulations, Lieutenant Lionel Callender,” and “Congratulations, Sergeant Brad Slade.”

These promotions reflect ongoing efforts within the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office to recognize staff contributions and support professional growth.
