St. Clair County Sheriff Billy J. Murray has been sworn in as President of the Alabama Sheriffs Association for 2026. The ceremony took place at the Alabama Sheriffs Association Winter Conference, held at the Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort in Birmingham.
Murray was installed by St. Clair County Circuit Judge James Hill. This marks his second term leading the association, reflecting his ongoing dedication to law enforcement and community service throughout Alabama.
In his inaugural address, Sheriff Murray said: “I am honored to serve alongside each of you and confident that, together, we will uphold the values that define Alabama Sheriffs-honor, courage, and commitment.”
The Alabama Sheriffs Association represents sheriffs from across the state and works to support law enforcement initiatives and public safety efforts.
