Robert Aderholt, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 4th district since 1997, has recently posted a series of messages on social media reflecting on law enforcement, national heritage, and local conservation efforts.
On May 12, 2026, Aderholt recognized National Police Week by stating: “During National Police Week, we honor the brave men and women who put their life on the line to protect and serve our communities. Their sacrifice and courage does not go unnoticed. “

Later that same day, Aderholt highlighted Little River Canyon’s significance to Northeast Alabama: “Little River Canyon is one of the most beautiful areas in Alabama and is extremely important to Northeast Alabama’s economy and community – with over 800,000 visitors per year. I will continue to work to ensure the area remains protected for future generations.”
Aderholt has represented Alabama’s 4th District since succeeding Tom Bevill in 1997. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Alabama House of Representatives. Born in Haleyville in 1965 and currently residing there at age 57, Aderholt graduated from Birmingham–Southern College with a BA in 1987 before earning his JD from Samford University in 1990.
