Robert Aderholt, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 4th district since 1997, publicly expressed support for the decision to locate the U.S. Space Command in Huntsville, Alabama through a series of posts on September 2, 2025.
In a post made at 19:29 UTC, Aderholt stated, “I applaud President Trump’s decision to locate @US_SpaceCom in its rightful place, Huntsville, Alabama. This decision is the result of years of work by the Alabama delegation, and now Space Command will take its place among North Alabama’s world-renowned space, aeronautics, and”.

Aderholt has represented Alabama’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Tom Bevill in 1997 and previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives. Born in Haleyville, Alabama in 1965 and currently residing there at age 57, Aderholt graduated from Birmingham–Southern College with a BA in 1987 and earned his JD from Samford University in 1990.
