Robert Aderholt, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 4th district since 1997, recently shared a series of posts on social media highlighting international relations, judicial decisions regarding faith-based organizations, and legislative progress in agriculture.
On April 28, 2026, Aderholt commented on the visit of King Charles III to Washington D.C., stating: “His Majesty, King Charles III’s historic visit in our nation’s capital is a powerful reminder of the enduring relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom. I appreciate King Charles mentioning our joint defense partnership between our two nations and Australia,”.
The following day, April 29, he acknowledged a court decision supporting religious organizations involved in providing alternatives to abortion: “A great, unanimous decision for faith based groups that are trying to help women find alternatives to abortion.”
Later that same day, Aderholt announced his participation with House Appropriations Committee Republicans in advancing agricultural legislation: “Proud to join my @HouseAppropsGOP colleagues and advance the FY27 Agriculture bill out of committee. This bill includes real investments that puts American farmers, ranchers, and communities first.”
Aderholt has represented Alabama’s 4th District since succeeding Tom Bevill in 1997. He previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives. Born in Haleyville in 1965 and residing there today at age 57, Aderholt holds degrees from Birmingham–Southern College (BA) and Samford University (JD).
