Robert Aderholt, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 4th district since 1997, shared updates on legislative achievements and community investments in a series of posts on January 22 and 23, 2026.
On January 22, Aderholt announced the passage of a major appropriations package, stating, “Passage of the final FY26 appropriations package completes the culmination of hard work and fulfills our commitment to the American people. The following day, Aderholt commented on an annual event in Washington D.C., writing on January 23: “Today, thousands of pro-life leaders and citizens are gathered in our nations capitol for the annual March for Life rally. Later that same day, he referenced local initiatives funded through recent legislation: “I’m proud to have secured funding for several key community projects across Alabama’s Fourth Congressional District through the final FY26 appropriations package. Aderholt has represented Alabama’s 4th district since replacing Tom Bevill in 1997 and previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives. Born in Haleyville, Alabama in 1965, he continues to reside there at age 57. He earned his undergraduate degree from Birmingham–Southern College in 1987 and his law degree from Samford University in 1990.
