Robert Aderholt, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 4th district since 1997, recently shared updates on defense policy and local investments through a series of posts on his social media account.

On February 2, 2026, Aderholt addressed the importance of strengthening the United States’ defense industrial base. He stated, “The America First agenda can’t be accomplished if we are relying on adversaries to make portions of our own weapons. That’s why we must improve our own defense industrial base. Friday, I convened the Second Annual AUKUS Defense Industry Forum to strengthen America’s national”.

A day later, on February 3, 2026, Aderholt highlighted new federal investments for his district: “Read more about key investments for Alabama’s Fourth Congressional District, included in the appropriations package here: https://t.co/kFPyOwfsaa”.

He also announced legislative progress regarding government funding: “The FY26 appropriations package, which provides full-year funds for five out of the six remaining appropriations bills and includes a brief continuing resolution for our sixth and final bill, Homeland Security, has passed and heads to the President’s desk. Aderholt has represented Alabama’s 4th district in Congress since succeeding Tom Bevill in 1997. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Alabama House of Representatives. Born in Haleyville in 1965 and currently residing there at age 57, Aderholt holds degrees from Birmingham–Southern College (BA) and Samford University (JD).
