Robert Aderholt, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 4th district since 1997, shared updates on legislative developments and his policy positions through a series of posts on X in early February 2026.

On February 3, Aderholt posted about participating in a significant event at the White House: “Great to join @POTUS in the Oval Office as he signed FY26 Appropriations bills into law.” Later that day, he commented on the implications of the new legislation: “Under President Trump’s leadership, The Consolidated Appropriations Act reopens the government and continues operations effectively. The FY26 Labor-HHS bill strengths rural health care and maintains key investments in biomedical research, schools, and public health. This is”

The following day, February 4, Aderholt marked National Girls and Women in Sports Day by expressing his stance on athletic competition policies: “Today is National Girls and Women in Sports Day. I remain committed to protecting the fairness and safety of female athletes across the nation, by ensuring that only biological females compete in girls and women’s sports.”

Aderholt has served Alabama’s 4th District for nearly three decades after succeeding Tom Bevill in Congress. Before his tenure in Washington, he was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives. Born in Haleyville, Alabama in 1965, Aderholt continues to reside there. He holds a BA from Birmingham–Southern College (1987) and a JD from Samford University (1990).
