Robert Aderholt, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 4th district since 1997, has announced significant developments in both defense investment and tax policy through a series of posts on his official social media account.

On March 9, 2026, Aderholt shared news about a major project in Northwest Alabama: “I’m proud to announce a major investment in America’s defense industrial base coming to the Shoals area! This 2.2 million square foot facility will now be a symbol of U.S. defense, anchoring shipbuilding and maritime production in Northwest Alabama. This investment will be”.

A day later, on March 10, 2026, Aderholt addressed economic issues facing American families: “Inflation is a tax on every American family. @HouseGOP passed the Working Families Tax Cut to fight back with a permanent increase to the Child Tax Credit and the refundable Adoption Tax Credit. Making adoption more affordable is both morally right and fiscally responsible.”

On March 11, 2026, he highlighted new manufacturing opportunities in the region: “Proud to welcome Hadrian to Alabama — a major American manufacturing investment coming to the Tennessee Valley, helped made possible by the leadership of AE Shoals and Chris Emerson. Join us March 20th in Muscle Shoals for the ribbon cutting and to learn about employment”.

Aderholt has served continuously in Congress since replacing Tom Bevill in 1997. He previously held office in the Alabama House of Representatives. Born in Haleyville, Alabama in 1965, Aderholt continues to reside there today. He earned his undergraduate degree from Birmingham–Southern College and his law degree from Samford University.
