Robert Aderholt, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 4th district since 1997, addressed his constituents through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) in November 2025. His messages covered Veterans Day observances and the recent resolution of a government shutdown.

On November 11, Aderholt marked Veterans Day by expressing gratitude to service members and their families. He wrote, “Today, on Veterans Day, we honor the brave men and women who answered the call to serve our nation with unwavering courage and sacrifice. Thank you to all the service members and families across the country for defending the freedoms we hold dear. Your dedication will never be https://t.co/tdlUlRezQS”.

Two days later, on November 13, Aderholt commented on congressional action regarding a government shutdown. He stated, “Tonight, I voted to end the Democrats’ Government Shutdown. It was reckless and completely avoidable. With government funding restored, federal employees, including our military personnel and air traffic controllers, are once again receiving their pay, and SNAP benefits are”.

Later that day, he announced an upcoming media appearance: “Tune in to @SiriusXMPatriot today at 1:40 PM CST as I join @WilkowMajority to discuss the Democrats’ government shutdown.”

Aderholt has represented Alabama’s 4th district in Congress since succeeding Tom Bevill in 1997; prior to his tenure in Washington D.C., he served in the Alabama House of Representatives. Born in Haleyville in 1965 and currently residing there at age 57, Aderholt holds degrees from Birmingham–Southern College (BA) and Samford University (JD).
