Robert Aderholt, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 4th district since 1997, has recently addressed several topics on his official Twitter account, including condolences for a local journalist’s passing and legislative updates related to healthcare.

On December 16, 2025, Aderholt expressed his sympathies regarding the death of a Cullman native and former WBRC reporter: “I’m very sad to learn of the death of Cullman native and former WBRC reporter Christina Chambers. We are praying for her family and young son during this tragic time.”

The following day, December 17, he commented on an announcement from Secretary Kennedy and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), stating: “Today’s announcement from @SecKennedy and HHS ensures families have the tools for a brighter future and a better quality of life. Thank you, Secretary Kennedy, for your leadership in putting this plan into action.”

Later that same day, Aderholt highlighted legislative efforts to reduce healthcare costs: “By passing the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act, we are making life more affordable for all Americans by: bringing down premiums, expanding coverage, and giving workers and families more choices.”

Aderholt has served in Congress since replacing Tom Bevill in 1997. He previously held office in the Alabama House of Representatives. Born in Haleyville, Alabama in 1965, Aderholt graduated from Birmingham–Southern College with a BA in 1987 before earning his JD from Samford University in 1990. He continues to reside in Haleyville.
