Robert Aderholt, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 4th district since 1997, posted a series of updates on his Twitter account in early January 2026 addressing topics ranging from college football history to local missing persons and international legal matters.
On January 1, 2026, Aderholt acknowledged a milestone in college football with the University of Alabama’s participation in the Rose Bowl: “Good luck to the University of Alabama today as they take on Indiana on the 100th Anniversary of their first appearance and first win in the Rose Bowl, a game which marked the beginning of respect for Southern Football.”
The following day, January 2, he commented on a local search effort: “We’re praying for five-year-old Johnathan Boley, who is missing in Walker County, and that he will be found safe soon. Thank you to everyone searching for him and working to bring him home.”
On January 3, Aderholt addressed ongoing U.S. legal actions against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro: “Nicolás Maduro has faced narco-terrorism charges in the United States for half a decade now, and it’s time he face those charges head-on in a U.S. courtroom. I applaud President Trump for carrying out his duties to ensure Maduro and his wife are brought to justice. Anyone who”
Aderholt has served as Alabama’s representative since succeeding Tom Bevill in Congress nearly three decades ago. Before joining Congress, he was part of the Alabama House of Representatives. Born in Haleyville, Alabama in 1965 and currently residing there at age 57, Aderholt graduated from Birmingham–Southern College with a BA before earning his JD from Samford University.
