U.S. Congressman Robert Aderholt, who represents Alabama’s 4th district, addressed several issues in a series of tweets posted on February 10 and 11, 2026. The topics ranged from student literacy outcomes to border security and election integrity.
On February 10, Aderholt highlighted the importance of early reading skills following a House Appropriations Committee hearing. He wrote, “Back with @houseappropsgop at today’s hearing on student literacy outcomes. Developing strong reading skills at an early age is a foundational building block for lifelong success. We owe it to our children to provide them with proven, effective instruction in reading.”
The next day, Aderholt thanked federal agencies for addressing a border security incident involving drone activity near El Paso. In his post dated February 11, he stated, “Thank you to the @DeptofWar and @FAANews for acting swiftly and removing the threat in El Paso. It’s very troubling to see Mexican cartel drones breaching U.S. airspace and endangering air traffic.”
Later that same day, Aderholt expressed support for legislation aimed at voter integrity. He said, “I’m proud to have voted ‘Yes’ on the SAVE America Act to ensure that American elections are fair and free. This restores and strengthens voter integrity.”
Aderholt has represented Alabama’s 4th congressional district since 1997 after succeeding Tom Bevill in Congress. Before his tenure in Washington D.C., he served in the Alabama House of Representatives and earned degrees from Birmingham–Southern College and Samford University. Born in Haleyville, Alabama in 1965, Aderholt continues to reside there.
