Robert Aderholt, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 4th district since 1997, addressed constituents on social media this week about local events and tax policy changes.
On April 13, Aderholt commented on a recent fire in Cullman: “I am deeply saddened by the devastating fire in downtown Cullman that has destroyed the historic Stiefelmeyer Building. This landmark was more than just a structure, it was a rare and irreplaceable piece of Cullman’s history, dating back to the late 1800s and serving as a”.
The following day, April 14, he reminded followers of the approaching tax deadline: “Reminder: Tax Day is tomorrow. Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cut, we are making sure you can keep more of your hard-earned money with bigger refunds.”
On April 15, Aderholt provided details on tax benefits for Alabama residents: “It’s Tax Day and the average taxpayer in Alabama will see a tax cut of $2,843 thanks to the Working Family Tax Cuts. – No tax on tips – No tax on overtime – $2,200 Child Tax Credit – Adoption Tax Credit”.
Aderholt has represented Alabama’s 4th District in Congress since succeeding Tom Bevill in 1997. He previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives and holds degrees from Birmingham–Southern College and Samford University. Born in Haleyville, Alabama in 1965, Aderholt continues to reside there.
