Robert Aderholt, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 4th district since 1997, has recently addressed a series of events and issues through his social media posts, focusing on national security, energy policy, and community tragedies.
On December 13, 2025, Aderholt posted: “I’m praying for these service members and their families back home.” This message expressed his concern for the well-being of U.S. military personnel and their loved ones.
Two days later, on December 15, 2025, he commented on an important development in regional energy infrastructure: “Browns Ferry is the cornerstone of the Tennessee Valley’s energy supply. This license renewal is great news for reliable, carbon-free power and for the hardworking men and women of TVA who keep this plant running safely 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
Later that same day, Aderholt responded to tragic news involving a member of his constituency: “I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Mountain Brook’s Ella Cook in the shooting at Brown University this weekend. Caroline and I extend our prayers and condolences to her family and all impacted by the shooting.”
Aderholt has served in Congress since replacing Tom Bevill in 1997 after previously serving in the Alabama House of Representatives. He was born in Haleyville, Alabama in 1965 and continues to reside there. He earned his undergraduate degree from Birmingham–Southern College in 1987 before receiving his law degree from Samford University in 1990.
