Drug trafficking arrests made after search warrant executed in Springville

On December 17, 2025, law enforcement officials in Springville executed a search warrant at a residence on Crawfords Cove Road as part of an ongoing drug investigation. The operation was led by the St. Clair County Drug Enforcement Unit and resulted in the recovery of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and firearms.

Authorities arrested Logan Roby, age 24 of Springville. He faces two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, four counts of unlawful possession of controlled substances, one count of drug paraphernalia, and one count of felony possession of marijuana. His bond was set at $3,050,500.

Toni Peede, age 66 also from Springville, was charged with one count of felony possession of marijuana with a bond set at $10,000.

A female under the age of 21 was also arrested and charged with four counts of unlawful possession of controlled substances, one count each for drug paraphernalia and felony possession of marijuana. Her bond was set at $50,500.

The St. Clair County Drug Enforcement Unit received assistance from several agencies during this operation: the St. Clair County SWAT Team, Pell City Police Department, Ashville Police Department and St. Clair County Sheriff’s Patrol Division.

According to Sheriff Billy J. Murray: “Bond, if applicable, is set by the courts using the bond schedule passed by the state legislature.”
