Mrs. Mary Morrow, an art teacher at St. Clair County High School, recounted the story of Brandon Wiggins, a former student who made a snowman sculpture in 2015 with hopes for snow days. The snowman, which students later called the “Voodoo Snowman,” drew the attention of meteorologist James Spann during his visit to the school.
Every winter, Mrs. Morrow uses the snowman sculpture as a teaching tool and to engage her art classes. On January 30, 2026, Brandon Wiggins—now serving as a Deputy with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office—returned to St. Clair County High School. He joined Mrs. Morrow and James Spann to recreate a photo with the original snowman sculpture.
“Each winter, Mrs. Morrow brings out the snowman to inspire her art classes and create a fun learning environment. Brandon Wiggins, who is now a Deputy with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office returned to the school today to recreate the memorable photo with the original sculpture and meteorologist James Spann.”
