WASHINGTON — Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) released the following statement after learning of an NBC News story that asserts Space Command’s move to Huntsville, Alabama could be reversed due the Biden Administration’s opposition to Alabama abortion laws.

“This report, if true, is very concerning for national security. This is the second article in two months discussing the possibility of SPACECOM remaining in Colorado. After the previous article, I questioned Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall directly during a hearing, and he assured us that the Space Command basing decision was his, and his alone. He told me that the Biden Administration had put the decision squarely in his hands. I would like to know what has changed in the past two months.”
